The Eight Auspicious Symbols bring good fortune and are a representation of the offerings made to Shakyamuni Buddha after he gained enlightenment.
The Eight Symbols are: dharma wheel, victory banner, conch shell, fish, parasol, lotus flower, endless knot and wealth vase.

A katag is a traditional silk offering scarf offered to Lamas or to friends & relatives. These katags are white silk and embossed with the 8 auspicious symbols of Tibet.
